Adult Learn to Sail

Our Adult Basic class is taught by some of the best sailors in South Sound! Students will be taught onboard various small to medium sized keelboats: perfect cruisers for South Sound sailing. Each sailor will have the chance to practice every position onboard, including skippering!

This is a series of classes that includes classroom and on-the-water learning. Students will leave this class with a solid understanding of how to sail and many hours of hands-on practice so they feel confident the next time they step aboard a sailboat! Class topics include: rigging, knots, water safety, points of sail, sail trim, weather, and navigation, including how to safely exit slips and access deep water. No experience necessary!

We offer classes that work for your schedule. We have several evening (after-work) options as well as weekend classes!
