Summer Youth Racing
It’s time to register for Summer Race Teams!
This summer, Olympia Community Sailing is offering four race teams: FJ development, Optis, ILCAs and c420s.
We will also be hosting Capital Bootcamp June 20-21 here in Olympia for youth sailors who are new, or newer, to sailing the ILCA or c420. No experience required!
Sailors who have registered for Capital Bootcamp will receive a $50 discount towards Full Summer Race Team Registration.

Focus: This beginner ILCA and c420 clinic is designed to warm sailors up for the summer club sailing season. Brand-new sailors will learn the fundamentals of each class including boat setup, tuning, basic boathandling, and strategies/tactics unique to each class.
Skill Requirements: Beginner sailors do not need experience in the ILCA or c420 class, but should have intermediate or advanced sailboat racing experience in FJs, Optis, or similar boats.

Clinic fees cover the cost of coaching at the event and overnight boat storage in Olympia. Sailors must provide their own race-ready ILCA (with upgraded/advanced control lines) or c420. Charter c420s might be available from OCS, and charter ILCAs might be available from local sailors - contact OCS staff to inquire further.
