Summer Race Teams
OCS Summer Race Teams compete on behalf of OCS during local and national summer-season events.
FJ Race Team
Beginner Sailors 8th+ grade
The FJ Race Team is for beginner teens that have been competing for one to two years or less. Sailors learn basic to intermediate strategy and tactics while working on beginner to intermediate boat handling sailing simple boats.

Practices run twice a week during the summer season in the evenings for all teams.

Summer regattas are popular events with lots of fanfare. that run about every other weekend. Local PNW events have a place for all sailors regardless of skill.
Laser Race Team
Beginner - Intermediate Sailors 8th+ grade
The Laser Race Team is for beginner to advanced teens that own their own Laser sailboat. The Laser is a physically challenging boat that is sailed around the world. The PNW local youth regattas will typically see upwards of 40 boats competing, making it one of the most challenging fleets in the region.
c420 Race Team
Intermediate - Advanced Sailors 8th+ grade
The c420 Race Team is for intermediate-advanced doublehanded sailors. The boat is challenging with a spinnaker and trapeze and requires a solid baseline of basic boathandling, strategy, and tactics in order to sail.
